Avtomat is an audiovisual project born in 2005 in the head of a Polish graphic designer, DJ and vocalist - Kajetan Łukomski. It combines humane melodies, vocals and harmonies with a punk-inspired energy and a distorted sound. After playing numerous successful DJ nights - notably electroMoustache and ElectroSushi in eNeRDe (Torun), Future Disko in Plastelina (Koszalin) or Elektryk and Kill The Disco in Saturator (Warszawa) the project (known back then as post50UND) started to take shape.
It took off fully in the beginning of 2009 with the simultaneous release of a 5-track EP 'Yes, I'm A Saint' and the first place in muzzo.pl's electronic contest. Joined on stage by his singing sister Verl and guitarist Filip, he played alongside such artists as DJ Hell, The Whip, Zoot Woman, Moderat, Richie Hawtin and Caspa & Rusko during Audioriver Festival and followed up with club concerts.
His tracks have been released frequently on Polish electro compilations associated with electroclash.pl, including Pink Kong Vol. 4 - Remix Wars (digital), Pink Kong Vol. 6 - A New Hope (CD compilation attached to LAIF magazine), Pink Kong Special 1 (CD compilation released by Pink Kong Records). His other work includes remixes for such artists as Röyksopp, SomethingALaMode, Kamp!, SoundQ or Lolita & The Pussycats.
Currently, after changing the name of the project to Avtomat, Kajetan is looking for a label.
